I support Wild and Scenic River designation for the Crystal River, from its headwaters in the Maroon Bells - Snowmass Wilderness, to a point just above the Sweet Jessup irrigation canal.

I request Congress, along with federal, state, local and water conservation district officials, act toward achieving this designation to protect, in perpetuity, the water quality and quantity of the Crystal River in its free-flowing condition while:

maintaining the river’s ranching heritage,
sustaining the river’s diverse fish and wildlife habitat, its remarkable cultural, historical, and scenic values, and
protecting its diverse recreational uses

I seek to ensure the Crystal River remains a free-flowing, healthy and natural river with no dams or diversions out of the watershed.
