RAMP & BOARDWALK

Healthy Rivers is making improvements to Fisherman’s Park and adding a boardwalk connection to the Roaring Fork Whitewater Park! Construction will continue into Spring 2023.

ROBINSON DIVERSION

In early 2021, Healthy Rivers made a number of boater safety and habitat improvements to the Robinson Diversion, located on the Roaring Fork River between Basalt and Willits.

​WHITEWATER PARK

In early 2017, Healthy Rivers completed the Roaring Fork Whitewater Park in Basalt that serves as both a community amenity AND protects future flows of the Roaring Fork river.

​WATER RIGHT

Through construction of the Roaring Fork Whitewater Park, Healthy Rivers perfected a Recreational In-Channel Diversion (RICD) water right that protects flows of the Roaring Fork River.​

ANCHOR ICE PREVENTION

Pitkin County is part of a large coalition of local and statewide entities, working to reduce the formation of anchor ice on the lower Fryingpan River.

OSPREY CAM

Picture
Healthy Rivers collaborated with Pitkin County Open Space and Trails, ACES, and Holy Cross Energy to install an Osprey Cam in Emma, Colorado. The feed is available seasonally and provides an interesting way to keep tabs on our avian neighbors.​​​
